Our products are handmade, so there will be slight variations between batches which may affect product appearance. We reserve the right to withdraw any products at any time.

Sensitive skin
Our products contain only natural ingredients, and have been formulated to suit most skin types. As with any skincare product, customers with sensitive skin are advised to perform a test patch before using a new product for the first time.

Health concerns
If you have an underlying health condition, or are on prescription medication, you should seek professional advice to ensure that these products are suitable for your use. Our products are formulated to avoid most ingredients that may cause a problem. However there are small amounts of essential oils in some items and these, such as Rosemary essential oil, can be stimulating and should be avoided by individuals with epilepsy or high blood pressure. If you have any medical concerns regarding products containing essential oils (such as when pregnant, breastfeeding or with certain medical conditions), please consult a qualified practitioner for further advice before making a purchase.

Children
We do not recommend using any of the products containing essential oils on young children without professional advice.

Pregnancy
All products for internal use should be avoided during pregnancy unless under professional advice. Some products for external use contain essential oils which can be very potent and should be avoided during pregnancy, especially in the first 6 months. Please contact your local qualified herbal practitioner or aromatherapist who can advise you.

Are your products tested on animals?
No, we only test on human volunteers, mostly ourselves. Most of our products are suitable for vegetarian/vegan customers since ingredients are plant-based. All capsules are vegan. However note that some items do contain beeswax.

Storage
We suggest that natural products are kept in their original packaging and stored away from direct sunlight and are protected from extremes of temperature. In particular avoid leaving products on window sills, near to radiators or in locations with high humidity. Please note that some products are labelled using printer inks which may fade or discolour over time.

Preservatives
No additional preservatives are used in the products and this does mean that there is a limited shelf-life. We recommend that all products containing fixed oils, fats and waxes are used within 4-6 months of purchase. Other items, including dried herbs and capsules, are less likely to deteriorate and have a 12-18 month shelf-life. Tinctures and pure essential oils will keep for 2-3 years or longer. To extend shelf-life, do ensure that containers are firmly closed and keep these items in a cool, dry, and dark location. In order to ensure freshness we manufacture in small batches and only sell items in small volumes. It is best to buy in smaller quantities and use the products while fresh.

Glass bottles
Glass bottles are heavier and more prone to breakage in transit, and so are only used for smaller items in our mail-order service. They will always be sealed in plastic bags and wrapped with additional packaging. These bottles can be washed and re-used. Let us know if any item arrives with any leakage or damage. Larger quantities will be provided in plastic bottles.

Colourants and additives
We only use plant materials to colour our products. No chemical colours are added.
